I may reconsider looking at Boise as a place to retire after reading the post on Morman influence there. I consider them more a cult than a religion, and they are the best example for ensuring the separation of church and state. My wife and I are empty nesters, and if the mormans take over Boise like they have numerous Utah communities, than laws and tax rates will heavily favor couples with large families. Morman's have excessive birth rates, and do ironically in a time where overpopulation of mother earth is a critical issue. If I want to order a glass of wine at dinner, or grab a six pack to bring home, the last thing I need is a LDS zealot legislating my rights.
